Bush Survival
1. The STOP signs
Stop as soon as you realize they're lost.
Think about the situation.
Observe their surroundings.
Plan what to do.
2. How to signal
You can teach even young children how to signal with something as simple as a mirror or other reflection device.
Having this skill can be the difference between surviving and not surviving. Toss a mirror in their pack and teach them how to properly use it.
3. Make or find a shelter.
The Shelter isn't just a creature comfort, it's important. Keeping out of the elements should be a priority.
Teach your children how to utilize their natural surroundings to their benefit.
4. How to start a fire.
If your child is stuck in the middle of nowhere and its cold, having a fire to keep warm is essential. Teach them how to safely make a fire and be around the fire.
5. First aid
Everyone should know basic first aid. Your child is no exception.
I'm always amazed when I read stories of how young children saved their parent's life because they had basic first aid knowledge. Never underestimate the power of teaching these skills to your child. They could do more than just save their own life. They may save yours.
6. How to get clean water
So, next time you find yourself out in nature with the kids on a hike, make sure go somewhere with natural water source. Don't bring a water bottle, but do bring a filter.

Shelter Badge (Final)
This is my troop team our team is called the Tuis. It was not that hard it was mostly easy for some of us. The easiest thing was to get the tarpaulin on to the rope it wasn't that hard to get it on to the rope it made like a tent for a single person to get in. The hardest thing was to get the rope on and going around it. It was fun to make the single person fit in it we all couldn't fit in it but we all made it and that's what matters the most.

Tent Plan
This tent that we think will be great building this keep you from the rain and sticks because it will run off the sides of it because it is on an angle so it will run off. You will only need rope and tarp.
This is a rope tarp the rope connects to the trees so if you want to build this tent you have to go somewhere that has trees to this tree you have to get a rope and a trap and tie it around the trees the trape have to have holes so that the rope can tie it you have to surround by 4 trees or more it can’t be less because then it won’t be even and the trape will start going into an angle.
Tent Building Review

never built a tent in my life and I've learned something today it was that I did something I'd never done before because I've never gone camping except school camp. The thing that worked well was putting the iron poles that worked well for some of us.
GHOST Blue Defenders Uniform
This is my Chapter Chat for this Week. I did Creation Station, I did the blue uniform. It was pretty easy and it only took two days to finish this and I got it done today. This was hard at the same time as easy.

Shelter Badge
Where would be the best place to build a shelter?
Where would be the best place to hunt?
I think the best place to build a shelter would be near a river and forest because for the water and food, forest because there would be sticks to make a spear with a sharp stone.
Where would be the best place to hunt?
I think the forest and a river because you can hunt for fish and forest because there are usually there would be animals in the forest.
Where would you find somewhere to hide if you were invaded by mosquitoes?
I think if you were invaded by mosquitoes would be in a cave and later on, when you come back they would be gone.
Where would be the best place if you were getting attacked?
I think you fight back because you can improve your skills and defending yourself.
Where would you be if you tripped over a stone and a wild animal heard it?
I think you would run if you defenseless and if you were prepared for when it was coming for you I would fight.
Whetu Survivor
This is my Whetu Survivor for the Native Plants I did the Manuka you can tell from the talking tree I added the description underground where the lost ones are. And if you click on Manuka its the link to the Manuka and this was hard for the description because it took like Friday to Monday and this was my last day to get this finished and I got this done today because it was pretty easy to do well not really because sometimes I get distracted sometimes in my head I keep thinking of something else but I keep doing what I'm supposed to be doing and I let my mind take it off my mind then I take focus and control.
